Day 8 - Going Back Home

ELENA:
Our journey has come to the end and now I will tell you a little more about my feelings, experiences, etc.
On the one hand, I have loved to know this wonderful country, full of incredible culture and truly delicious gastronomy. I am very happy to have been here with my two friends who without them would not have been the same. I highly recommend you to come here and know all the places that we have known have certainly all been spectacular. It has also helped me to realise the great difference between Spain and Malaysia in terms of living standards, etc.

VICTORIA:
I have to admit I’m feeling a bit emotional now that our trip is coming to an end.
This trip has taught me many things. I’ve learned a lot about Malaysia, its culture, and its people but I’ve also learned a lot about myself.
I thought traveling without a guide to help me out was just too scary for me, but I wasn’t scared at all, it was a fun challenge.
I know I wouldn’t have been able to do this trip without Belén and Elena so I’m grateful to have them as my friends.

Belén:
This has been amazing. I loved how this trip made me feel more conected with my friends and even with myself. I loved Malaysia, I need to come back again in the future even if I´m alone because this country has a lot to offer and we couldn´t discover everything. I could front my fears like in the cableway but I did it and I feel amazed by myself. I hope to see this beautiful people again someday.

Day 7 - From Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 7

10 AM  [Elena]

I set up my alarm clock at 8 AM yesterday so we could enjoy a nice breakfast and a calming stroll along the beach. We didn't hear the alarm go off and we overslept.
Now we are trying to pack everything as fast as we can because we're pretty far away from the airport and our flight leaves at 13:35.

12:34 PM [Victoria]

Fortunately for us, we made it to the airport on time!
Today is being our most stressful day here in Malaysia and it's only 12 PM so we've still got a long way to go.
Elena is treating us to breakfast here at the airport so we are going to drown our worries in Masala tea and try to forget about this morning.

17:25 PM [Belén]

Victoria is a genius of a woman and she led us the wrong way. (Nicely, done!)
Now we are in who-knows-where and we don't know how we are going to get to our hotel.
We at least found a place full of food trucks in the Klang Valley so we can't complain much because there's something about the food here in Malaysia that makes you feel instantaneously better.

19:36 PM [Victoria]

Okay, so I made a tiny mistake but now we finally arrived at our hotel.
I think we're going to find a restaurant nearby and call it a day for today.
We have to catch the flight back home tomorrow at 5 am so we should rest.

Day 6 - Langkawi beach and relax

DAY 6, LANGKAWI BEACH AND RELAX:  (vidoe at the end)

  • 7:00 a.m:
Good morning everyone. I just woke up and i´m going to take my breakfasttake a shower and going to the beachToday, as the last day in malaysia, I want to have some fun and relax after this long trip. I know there´s a really touristic beach near this hotel so i´m going to make a little research and move to the beach.

  • 10:00 a.m:
I´m in Pentai Cenan Beach. This is one of the most touristic beaches in all Langkawi. I just want to lay down on the sand and sunbathe a bit while i hear the waves crashing on the shore and the wind in my back. A relaxing moment for myself after all this walking trip.

  • p.m
I´m starting to be a little hungry so i´m looking for a restaurant. I really want some Rojak but i ate it yesterday so keep your mind on new dishes Belendon´t disturb haha 😊. I think i will try Charsiew Rice, this is a rice sih with meat but i know i can find a place that serve Charsiew with Seitan instead. I will look into it and i will tell you if i find it.

  • p.m:
finally found a place to eat that Charsiew with seitan instead of meatThat dish was incrediblethe seitan was kinda sweet and the rice and broccoli just made my day. So good that i must try to make it at home because i think i couldn´t live without it
I found an ice cream shop called Gelato Cabana. I saw on internet that this shop is one of the most famous in all the island. I went there and I couldn, t believe it, there´s vegan ice cream and it´s delicious. I love it. They are made from fresh fruits and not much expensive, like 3 euros a normal cup, just like in Spain.
